Dear Readers,

I want to say thank you to everyone who has written to me or hosted me or given me random words of encouragement on the road. You are what make my trip, and I can’t express my gratitude enough.

I’m now on month six on the road, and I’m looking at how to make this journey last a full year. If you would like to help, that’s beautiful. All I’m looking for are odd jobs, ways to make money as I go. These stints could be as short as a day or as long as a few months, and I’m up for nearly anything. I have experience baking, babysitting, writing, photographing, knitting and working retail. Basically, just as long as you don’t ask me to make a decent cup of coffee (I can’t), I’m happy to do it. My route is going to stay in the South and Southwest throughout the winter — perhaps Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona. I am happy to work and experience anywhere for a time.
